Hawks look to shake off Showcase; hit highway to Melfort

The Hawks headed home from Warman Thursday following a defensively flawed 5-4 loss to the Yorkton Terriers at the Saskatchewan Junior Hockey League (SJHL) Showcase.

Chase Visser, Eric Hoiness, Evan Forrest, and Braeden Jockims scored in the loss. Tyson Endall suffered the loss making 36 saves in the Nipawin net.

The Hawks, who are now a game under .500, travel to Melfort Friday for a showdown with their rivals, the Mustangs. Nipawin won the season series opener on Remembrance Day at the ‘Cage.’

Faceoff is 7:30 p.m. at the Northern Lights Palace. Catch the game on 750 Beach Radio starting with the pregame show at 7:15 p.m.
