Saskatchewan Junior Hockey League

Hawks meet Broncos in weekend home-and-home

For the first time since the 2022/23 Saskatchewan Junior Hockey League (SJHL) postseason the Hawks take on Humboldt Friday at the ‘Cage.’

The Hawks were victorious in North Battleford on Saturday and sit with a record of three wins, a pair of regulation losses and a shootout defeat in La Ronge. Humboldt is one of three unbeaten teams in the league. With a trio of wins over Notre Dame and a home ice victory over La Ronge it cold be argued the Broncos hadn’t been tested until Wednesday’s showdown with Weyburn. The Broncos put up 10 goals and sent a statement to the rest of the SJHL in a 10-1 win over the Wings.

Humboldt took the season series three games to one last year. The Broncos were also victorious in their first round playoff series winning in five games.

Hear from Head Coach Tad Kozun leading up to tonight’s 7 p.m. faceoff at the Centennial Arena.

Adults tickets are just $15 at the gate, cash only. To purchase 50/50 tickets for Friday’s game click HERE.
