Hawks sign Alberta born forward to LOI

The Nipawin Hawks have signed another player from Alberta to a Letter of Intent for the 2024 -25 Saskatchewan Junior Hockey League (SJHL) season.

The club announced on Thursday that 2006-born forward Ty Van Brabant had signed with the team.

Van Brabant is from Sturgeon County, Alta., played for the U18 AAA Fort Sasatchewan Rangers this year where he complied 31 points, including 12 goals in 36 games. He’s also added 80 penalty minutes this season. Last year in the U17 Alberta Elite Hockey League with the Rangers Van Brabant had 22 goals and 17 assists in in 31 games, he suited up in 36 regular season games this year.

The five-foot, 11-inch tall forward has also dressed for 20 playoff games in the last three season collecting seven goals and 18 points.
