The Hawks headed home Sunday after a 4-3 loss in Notre Dame that capped a weekend road trip where Nipawin picked up just two of a possible six points.
A recurring theme of the weekend was sluggish starts, strong finishes but negative results outside Saturday’s shootout victory over the Estevan Bruins.
Maguire Ratzlaff led the way Sunday with a pair of goals while Henry Smith added his first in the SJHL. Tyson Endall suffered his first loss in the league making 28 saves.
Nipawin hosts Flin Flon Tuesday at the ‘Cage,’ faceoff is 7 p.m.
