The Hawks got goals from Vito Biondo, Finley Radloff, and Evan Forrest on Friday, but it wasn’t enough as Nipawin was edged 4-3 by the Millionaires in a shootout at the ‘Cage’.
Each team fired 37 shots on goal through regulation and overtime before Flynn Maxcy was the lone shooter to beat either goaltender. Damon Cunningham suffered the loss in net, William Dyke was the winner for the Millioniares.
The Hawks will look to snap their three game losing streak Saturday when they meet the La Ronge Ice Wolves during Hockey Day in Saskatchewan in Kinistino.
Faceoff is 7:30 p.m., the game will be on 750 Beach Radio beginning with the pregame show at 7:15 p.m.
