Tyson Endall’s 29 saves were key in the Hawks win on Saturday, so much so the Saskatchewan Junior Hockey League (SJHL) took notice.
The 18-year-old Lyalta, Alta. product was named the SJHL Rookie of the Week Monday thanks to his performance in a 2-1 overtime win in Kindersley in overtime.
The victory snapped Nipawin’s eight game losing streak, and kept them on the edge of the playoff picture going into a massive game Wednesday at home against the Melville Millionaires.
