The Nipawin Hawks are pleased to announce the signing of forward Porter Nickason for the upcoming season.
Nickason, a product of Elrose, Saskatchewan, is an 08-born centre who spent the past three seasons with the Swift Current Legionnaires U18 AAA program. In 44 games last season, he recorded 12 goals and 20 assists for 32 points, showcasing his offensive ability and consistency down the middle.
Head Coach and General Manager Tad Kozun is excited about what Nickason brings to the Hawks lineup.
“We are excited to add Porter to the team next year,” said Kozun. “He had a great career in Swift Current and took his game to another level in the playoffs this past season. He’s a hard-working player that brings speed to our lineup. We welcome Porter and his family to the Nipawin Hawks.”
Nickason adds depth and skill to the Hawks forward group as the organization continues to build toward the 2026–27 season.
