The Nipawin Hawks have added to their crease for next season, announcing the signing of goaltender Madex Kabrud.
A product of Saskatoon, Kabrud joins the Hawks after spending the past three seasons with the Saskatoon U18 AAA Blazers. In his final season at the U18 AAA level, Kabrud posted a 2.44 goals-against average along with a .917 save percentage, establishing himself as a reliable presence between the pipes.
Hawks Head Coach and General Manager Tad Kozun is looking forward to adding Kabrud to the lineup.
“We are excited about adding Madex to the team next season,” said Kozun. “He had a fantastic U18 AAA career and was part of a great organization with the Blazers. We welcome Madex and his family to the Hawks family.”
Kabrud brings strong development experience and consistency in goal as he makes the jump to the SJHL, giving the Hawks another promising option in net heading into the 2026–27 season.
