The Nipawin Hawks were edged 4-3 by Notre Dame in Wilcox Thursday.
Alex Bernauer scored his 10th goal of the year, Braeden Jockims added his 11th, both on the powerplay as the Hawks snapped their 0/34 run on man advantages. Maguire Ratzlaff scored his third shorthanded goal of the campaign, and second in as many games. The Hawks’ captain has 13 goals this season.
Damon Cunningham suffered the loss in goal making 26 stops.
The loss keeps the black and gold four points outside the playoffs with nine games remaining including Friday in Estevan against the Bruins. Estevan has taken two of three games this season versus Nipawin and has points in all three.
