Hawks double Millionaires to snap losing streak

The Hawks scored early Tuesday night at the ‘Cage’ and used the early momentum to secure a spirited 4-2 win over the Melville Millionaires.

Cole Fox opened the scoring under two minutes into the first meeting of the year between the SJHL teams, Artem Hrabovetskyi added a pair of power-play goals, and Evan Forrest notched his team leading ninth goal late in the second for the game winner.

The Hawks will hold their annual parent-billet weekend starting Friday when Yorkton visits the Centennial Arena. Saturday the Melfort Mustangs will make their first appearance in Nipawin.

Both games will faceoff at 7 p.m.
