The Hawks have ventured out to Surrey, B.C. for their newest recruit.
Nipawin has announced 2006-born Yashas Jain has signed a Letter of Intent to join the Saskatchewan Junior Hockey League (SJHL) organization next season.
Jain, 18, spent his final season of minor hockey with the U18 AAA Greater Van Canadians of the BC Elite Hockey League (BCEHL) where he put up 12 goals and 19 assists, leading the team in scoring. The 6′, 175 pound, right-hand shooting forward also had 57 penalty minutes last season.
He has also suited up in 11 playoff games since joining elite prep teams in 2019-20.
Associate General Manager Dana Dirks spoke about the signing of Jain.
