The Nipawin Hawks are happy to announce Assistant Coach Levi Stuart has taken a dual role position with the 100 Mile House Wranglers of the Kootenay International Junior Hockey League (KIJHL).
After two seasons with the Hawks Stuart will take over the roles of general manager and head coach with the club signing a three-year contract in his home province.
Stuart spent time with the Western Hockey League’s Vancouver Giants and his hometown Merritt Centennials of the British Columbia Junior Hockey League prior to his time in Nipawin under Tad Kozun.
“Our organization is extremely happy for Levi and his advancement up the coaching ladder,” Kozun said. “Yes, the league is a step below the Saskatchewan Junior Hockey League, but Levi will be able to make his mark on the club and community and will find himself back in the Canadian Junior Hockey League or beyond in the next few years.”
The search for Stuart’s replacement begins immediately.
