Every season, SaskEnergy asks us to nominate an individual for the SaskEnergy Volunteer Champion Award, recognizing those who make a lasting impact on our organization. This season, our recipient is Scott Anderson. Our Hawks family was devastated by Scott’s passing on February 20th. He dedicated over 17 years to our Board of Directors, serving as President for five of those years. His leadership guided the Hawks through triumphs, including a Canalta Cup victory, and challenges, such as navigating the organization through the COVID-19 pandemic. But Scott’s impact went far beyond the boardroom. He was always the first to step up—whether leading a fundraising committee or ensuring the Nipawin Hawks’ legacy remained strong as we celebrated 40 years. His passion, commitment, and unwavering dedication shaped the Hawks in ways we will never forget. To the Anderson family—our hearts are with you. We are profoundly grateful for Scott’s years of service, his sacrifices, and the mark he left on this organization. We mourn with you, and we hold you close in our thoughts and prayers.
