Nipawin Hawks Seeking Experienced Bookkeeper

The Nipawin Hawks Junior A Hockey Club is inviting qualified applicants to apply for the position of Bookkeeper, a key administrative role that supports the organization’s financial operations. This remote position offers flexibility, with occasional access to office space and printing resources as needed.

The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records and supporting day-to-day accounting functions. Core duties include reconciling bank accounts, processing semi-monthly payroll, entering all financial transactions into QuickBooks, and preparing monthly financial statements for board meetings.

Additional responsibilities include processing vendor payments, overseeing monthly billet payment preparation and distribution, and managing a variety of government filings. These filings range from CRA payroll remittances and PST returns to quarterly GST submissions, annual T4s, and the annual LCT return. The bookkeeper will also work collaboratively with office staff and board members to complete the organization’s annual budget and will approve bank transfers in conjunction with the Office Executive. Other duties may be assigned as required.

Candidates with proven experience in an administrative or bookkeeping role are preferred. Strong communication skills, solid organizational abilities, and the capacity to multitask with minimal supervision are essential. Education in a related field is considered an asset.

Compensation will be determined based on experience and education and discussed during the interview process.

Interested applicants are encouraged to reach out to the Nipawin Hawks office for more details or to apply.
