Nipawin, Sk — The Nipawin Hawks are proud to announce the signing of defenseman Mattias De Zen from the Vancouver NW Hawks U18 AAA program.
Known for his smooth skating, strong puck movement, and high hockey IQ, De Zen brings both skill and maturity to the blue line. His recent playoff performance turned heads — and solidified his potential as a standout in the SJHL.
“Mattias is a good-skating, puck-moving D-man with a high hockey IQ,” said Assistant General Manager Dana Dirks. “He had 10 points in 5 playoff games this season, and we are excited to have Mattias and his family aboard the Hawks organization.”
De Zen will add depth and offensive upside to the defensive core as the Hawks continue to build a competitive and dynamic roster for the upcoming season.
