The Nipawin Hawks are proud to introduce the newest additions to the organization following a productive and exciting 2025 SJHL Draft. With a strong focus on building for the future, the Hawks selected a mix of high-performing forwards and steady, smart defensemen — each bringing a unique element to the team’s long-term vision.
“We are extremely excited about the players we were able to pick today in the SJHL Draft,” said Hawks Head Coach Tad Kozun. “Our scouts did a tremendous job this past winter in identifying players for the future of our organization.”
Here’s a look at the 2025 SJHL Draft Class:
2010 Draft:
🔹 Dawson Baht (F) – Martensville Marauders – 1st Round, 2nd Overall
An offensive standout, Baht recorded 26 goals and 43 assists in 29 games, finishing with an eye-popping 69 points on the year.
🔹 Denys Lupandin (D) – Saskatoon Outlaws U15 AA – 1st Round, 6th Overall
A defenseman with offensive upside, Lupandin tallied 11 goals and 20 assists in 27 games, showcasing great puck movement and vision from the back end.
🔹 Ethan Janzen (F) – Northeast Wolfpack U15 AA – 2nd Round, 14th Overall
Hailing from Porcupine Plain, Janzen had a balanced 24 goals and 23 assists in 29 games, bringing a reliable scoring touch and gritty forward play.
2009 Draft:
🔹 Maxx Fuessel (F) – Moose Jaw Warriors U18 AAA – 1st Round, 2nd Overall
Fuessel added size and experience to the draft class with a strong 50-point season (18 goals, 32 assists in 44 games) at the U18 AAA level.
🔹 Miller Robson (F) – Saskatoon Riverkings U18 AA – 1st Round, 6th Overall
Robson brought consistent production, notching 17 goals and 18 assists in 28 games, and plays with high pace and offensive instinct.
🔹 Max Cooper (F) – Northeast Wolfpack U18 AA – 3rd Round, 26th Overall
Cooper racked up 16 goals and 28 assists over 33 games, combining tenacity and offensive IQ to make him a standout in the Wolfpack lineup.
🔹 Cooper Perrin(D) – Saskatoon Blazers U18 AAA – 4th Round, 46 Overall
This blue-liner played 41 games, recording 3 goals and 16 assists, and brings poise, puck-moving ability, and strong defensive awareness.
🔹 Owen Glover (D) – Saskatoon Riverkings U18 AA – 5th Round, 50th Overall
Glover added quiet strength to the back end with 1 goal and 13 assists in 32 games, known for his reliability and smart positional play.
