Second year Hawks forward Mason Karakochuk is the Saskatchewan Player of the Week.
The 18-year-old product of Saskatoon led the Hawks tird period comeback Tuesday versus the North Stars with a goal and an assist, he added another helper in Friday’s 4-3 win over Yorkton. The second overall draft pick in 2021 scored another two more goals Saturday in Humboldt and added another assist for a six point week.
Karakochuk has eight goals on the year and 14 points, double his total in his 17-year-old rookie season which included just one goal. The former Saskatoon River King has eight points in eight games in November.
Nipawin will be in La Ronge Tuesday.
