The Nipawin Hawks opened their preseason with a strong 6-2 victory over the La Ronge Ice Wolves. The offense came alive early, with goals from Konnor Watson (#34), Mason Karakochuk (#16), Sean Shiels (#14), and Will Whitter (#10) in the first period.
Finley Radloff (#11) and Jack Janzen (#18) added to the lead in the second, giving the Hawks all the momentum heading into the final frame.
The Hawks now look ahead to their next preseason matchup on Monday, September 8, when they travel to Melfort to take on the Mustangs. Puck drop is set for 7:30 PM at the Northern Lights Palace.
