The role of spoilers continued Tuesday for the Hawks who snapped the Melville Millionaires’ 11 game winning streak with a 4-3 victory on the road.
Jack Schierau led the way offensively scoring twice including the game winning goal in the third period, the 18-year-old Port Moody, B.C. product added an assist as well on Jack Janzen’s fifth goal of his Saskatchewan Junior Hockey League (SJHL) career.
SJHL Saskatchewan Player of the Week Eric Hoiness stayed hot as well scoring his 13th of the season in the victory, Nipawin’s 16th of the year and eight of their last 12.
Gage Roberts continues to win in net for Nipawin, the 18-year-old picked up his 10th win of the year with 31 saves.
