The Nipawin Hawks have signed Calgary born puck stopper Colten Scott from the U18 AAA Calgary Buffaloes program.
Scott, 18, appeared in 19 regular season games last year for the Buffaloes posting a goals against average (GAA) of 2.75 while sporting a .924 save percentage (SP). In the postseason Scott appeared in four games with better numbers than the regular season, his GAA was 2.37 and his SP ballooned to .932.
Scott helped lead the Buffaloes to the Telus Cup (U18 AAA national championship) in 2023-24. Scott played three games in the tournament with a GAA just under three and a save percentage just shy of 90 percent.
Associate General Manager Dana Dirks spoke about the signing of Scott.
