The red hot Hawks will travel to Melfort Friday for the final time this Saskatchewan Junior Hockey League (SJHL) season.
Nipawin has won their last two games including a 4-3 win Tuesday in Melville, snapping the Millionaires’ 11-game winning streak. The Mustangs and Melville are the only two teams winning more than Nipawin lately.
The Mustangs have sewn up another SJHL regular season pennant and are riding a 12-game point streak, the Hawks have won seven of their last 10.
Melfort leads the season series with six wins in seven games, the Hawks have a victory and two points in extra time losses against the reigning champions.
Faceoff is set for 7:30 p.m. at the Northern Lights Palace, the pregame show on 750 Beach Radio will start at 7:15 p.m.
