Hawks have win streak snapped with loss to Wolves

The Hawks struggles with La Ronge continued Wednesday at home with the Ice Wolves winning 5-2 snapping Nipawin’s four game winning streak.

Nipawin lost six of eight games in the season series to the Ice Wolves, La Ronge took 13 of a possible 16 points.

Ashton Tait led the way for the Hawks offensively, the 18-year-old Prince Albert, Sask. product scored both Nipawin goals, both on the powerplay. He now has nine goals on the campaign.

Gage Roberts made 31 saves in the loss.

The Hawks host Kindersley on Friday at the Centennial Arena, one of their final three home games.
