The Nipawin Hawks earned a hard-fought 3–2 victory over the Melville Millionaires on home ice Friday night, capping off a complete effort from start to finish at The Cage.
The opening period was tight defensively, with both teams trading chances but neither finding the back of the net. The scoreless first set the stage for a strong second period from the Hawks, who came out firing.

The momentum continued just minutes later as #34 Konnor Watson added to the lead, once again with assists from Wallington (7) and Tait (11), both continuing their hot streaks.
In the third, the Hawks capitalized on a power play when #28 Sean Shiels (2) scored, assisted by #29 Tiernan Ryan (3) and Captain #11 Finley Radloff (3).
Melville two goals came from Lee and Margolis.
Shots on goal were Hawks 30 Millionaires 27.
It was a full-team performance, solid offense, solid defense, and solid goaltending, as the Hawks continue to build momentum in the early stretch of the season.
