On Saturday night, the Flin Flon Bombers hosted the Nipawin Hawks in a tough road matchup. The Hawks’ lone goal came midway through the first period when #34 Konnor Watson (11) capitalized on a power play, assisted by #21 Ashton Tait (12) and #10 Will Whitter (7).
Goaltender #1 Gage Roberts got the start between the pipes, with #31 Colten Scott taking over in the third period. Shots on goal finished Nipawin 18, Flin Flon 44.
Flin Flon’s scoring came from Martin, Alexander, Arberry, Yakimchuk, and Ward. It wasn’t quite the Hawks’ night, but they’ll look to bounce back on November 4 when the Battlefords North Stars host them for a 7:30 PM puck drop.
