The Hawks dug themselves a three goal hole in the first period Tuesday, but never quit fighting back to take a 5-3 lead before losing 6-5 in overtime versus Yorkton.
After the Terriers jumped out to the three goal lead, Brady Seabrook, Carter Anderson, and Aiden Bruce all scored in the first to knot the score 3-3.
Will Whitter and Conor Ryan also hit the scoresheet in the second, but the Hawks couldn’t hold the lead eventually dropping the decision in overtime.
Ashton Tait led the way with four assists in the game.
The 18-year-old Prince Albert product spoke after the game.
Nathan Claydon allowed six goals, but made several highlight reel saves including stopping Keenan Ingram on a breakaway in the third to secure a point.
The Hawks hit the highway to La Ronge on Friday and return home to host the Ice Wolves on Saturday.
