The Hawks have started the season on a four game winless slide after Saturday’s 6-1 loss in North Battleford against the North Stars.
Friday a late third period collapse allowed Kindersley to fight from behind and steal a 4-2 win, on the road versus Battleford the final 20 minutes got away from the Hawks and they allowed five unanswered goals in the third period.
In Friday’s game Spencer Chestolowski (pictured above, right) scored his first career SJHL goal, Saturday Van Taylor got his career first.
Tad Kozun spoke following the loss at Access Communications Centre.
Next up for the Hawks is a three game road trip to southern Saskatchewan starting with Notre Dame on Oct. 3.
The game will be the first Nipawin Chrysler Dodge Hawks Hockey on 750 Beach Radio broadcast beginning at 7:15 p.m. Faceoff is 7:30 p.m. in Wilcox.
