Hawks Blank Mustangs 4–0 at the Cage

The Nipawin Hawks welcomed the Melfort Mustangs to the Cage on Friday night and earned a 4–0 victory.

Goaltender #31 Colten Scott turned aside all 25 shots he faced, recording his second shutout in a week and the second shutout of his career.

The Hawks opened the scoring in the first period when captain #11 Finley Radloff (12) found the back of the net, assisted by #10 Will Whitter (20) and #14 Mason Lowther (8).

In the second frame, #4 Braeden Jockims (7) extended the lead with help from #12 Mason Eggen (8). Later in the period, #6 Brady Seabrook (2) added to the Hawks’ advantage, with assists going to #14 Mason Lowther (9) and #11 Finley Radloff (15).

Nipawin rounded out the scoring in the third period on the power play when #28 Sean Shiels (5) scored, assisted by #4 Braeden Jockims (10) and #20 Raydr Wallington (15).

The Hawks outshot the Mustangs 34–25 on the night.

Nipawin hits the road next on Sunday, February 1, travelling to Yorkton for a 3:00 PM puck drop.
