The Nipawin Hawks were in Kindersley on Saturday night and came up just short, falling 2–1 to the Klippers.
The Hawks’ lone goal came in the second period, when #18 Jack Janzen scored his 6th of the season, with assists from Captain #11 Finley Radloff (8) and #4 Braeden Jockims (1).
Despite a strong push, Nipawin was outshot 32–25 on the night, but kept the game tight right to the final buzzer.
The two teams won’t have to wait long for round two. The Hawks and Klippers meet again Sunday at 4:00 PM in Kindersley.
