Nipawin Hawks Education
Education is a priority to the Nipawin Hawks Organization, including high school, post secondary classes, SAT’s, and CIS and NCAA Scholarship opportunities. To ensure that players’ needs are met, the Education Coordinator will work with the Coaching Staff to ensure that players can work towards their educational goals while they play hockey.
High School
Players can work on their high school diploma or upgrade classes at LP Miller Comprehensive High School in Nipawin. Every effort will be made to ensure that practice times do not conflict with classes. Website: www.lpmiller.nesd.ca
Post Secondary Education
Players can access University of Regina, University of Saskatoon, SIAST and Lakeland College classes through the Cumberland Regional College. Correspondence classes can also be taken by players. Website: www.cumberlandcollege.sk.ca
SAT Preparation
To assist players in preparing to write their SAT Examination, group tutorials will be provided in math and English and players will write their exams together through the Cumberland Regional College-our local SAT test site.
